What counts as an API request?

Every call through the Callio proxy counts as one request, regardless of the upstream API or method.

What is included on the Free plan?

New accounts get 5 proxy requests per month and one API key so you can test integrations and MCP. Upgrade to Starter or higher for more requests and keys.

Can I change plans anytime?

Yes. Upgrade instantly, downgrade at the end of your billing period. No lock-in contracts.

What happens if I hit my limit?

API requests will return a 429 status with a link to upgrade. Your existing integrations keep working once you upgrade.

Do I need my own API keys for providers?

For most APIs, yes — you bring your own provider key (e.g., OpenAI key, SendGrid key). Callio manages the routing and auth injection. Some public APIs work without any provider key.
